One Supreme Carol!

How can you not love all of these?

Whether you love Christmas or Motown, I am sure you will love all of these golden classics! Christmas is special on it's own, but when you add carols like this...it becomes pure magic! Enjoy.

12. Geez Whiz its Christmas- Carla Thomas. This was slow but moving and " doo-woppy".

11. Come Home for Christmas- Charles Brown. Before the Eagles and all of the rest, the big man with the big voice sat down and poured this classic out with some serious emotion.

10. White Christmas- The Drifters. This was different from any other version, but this favorite was hard to do wrong!

9. Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas- There were so many artists that did this one! The Jackson 5 among others, nailed it!

8. All I want for Christmas is you- Carla Thomas- This was not the song that Maria Carey did. This was an entirely different tune, and it was beautiful!

7. Merry Christmas Baby- Otis Redding. It seems that all of his tunes got remade. This one did too, but his version was and stayed above the rest! He had such passion and soul no matter what he sang about!

6. Someday on Christmas- Stevie Wonder. and The Temptations. This was political but was still pretty nice.

5. Silent Night- The Temptations. They had so many awesome Carols. This one, they did there own way and wrote a new version of it. It was cool!

4. Love on Christmas Day- Jackson 5. The Jackson 5 were great at Christmas time. They rocked around this Christmas Tree!

3. The Christmas Song- Marvin Gaye. He will never be forgotten...Nor will Nat King Cole! Smokey and The Miracles also did a nice version.

2. Oh Holy Night- Florence Ballard of The Supremes. I was speechless the first time I heard this! Amazing was the first word that came to me after I heard it. I also like Patti Labelle's version.

1. Little Drummer Boy- The Supremes, The Temptations and especially the Jackson 5 made this my all time favorite Motown Christmas Smash! When you hear these giants sing about a little boy and a little baby, it stops you cold and moves you like nothing else does!

God bless, and have a Merry Motown Christmas!

This is a great list, but there are so many awesome Motown versions of songs. I love J5's version of "Frosty the Snowman" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." But your list makes a great playlist! Awesome hub!

Thanks for the input! This is just for Christmas Carols, and that's one reason I left Frosty off. I didn't include any "just Winter" songs.

Ahhh .. Little Drummer Boy! Sadly, some of these have been put on a high shelf to collect dust. Thanks for breaking them back out for us to enjoy!!
