Acupressure done properly, can make a huge difference!

First, an intro.

To start, you should know that I once suffered from migraines so badly that I was hospitalized with them more than once. I would get excruciating pain, dizziness, partial paralysis, and my speech would be affected. At first I thought I was having a stroke! If you suffer from migraines or headaches of any sort, then try the answers below. I tell you the God's honest truth when I say that since I started doing what I will show you below, I have not returned to the E.R. and have not had my life interrupted by migraines!

I shared my past with migraines so that you know that I know something about them. Unfortunately, many people who give advise know little about this debilitating problem. I have heard people tell some one who suffers to : have a banana and a glass of water, just shut of the t.v. and lights, and take an aspirin! From experience, I can tell you that this is a serious condition and one that requires attention, not a piece of fruit! Besides, what if the person has a serious neurological ailment I believe in home remedies but, only when they address the problem and actually work!

Here is what I do:

A friendly warning!

As I have stated, I have a history with migraines. That does not mean that I know the human brain inside and out! I recommend that if none of these suggestions work, you see a neurosurgeon as soon as possible. An M.R.I. of your brain may show you the early onset of a life threatening condition. I don't recommend these ideas below if you have an aneurism, brain tumor or something else as serious. Please get your brain thoroughly examined to see where the pain is really coming from!

Yes, even migraines!

For a minor headache or a migraine in the early stages-

First, get to a dark place, and then drink some Mountain Dew as quickly as you can. Then, get into the practice of keeping some Excedrin Migraine with you. Have you done all of that and still suffered? Good! Because now you will learn the real trick of killing a serious migraine!

For a serious headache or full blown migraine-

In Tia Chi class ( one that I was the fill in instructor for) I learned an ancient but effective treatment called acupressure. Here is how it works- Hold your left hand up and put all five fingers together. Then move your thumb off to the right, like you are making a capitol L. Then, taking your right hand, use your pointer finger and your thumb to find a tender muscle between the thumb and pointer on you left hand. See the second diagram. Once you find that sensitive muscle in the crotch of your left hand, start pinching it gently. Hold the pinch and move it in circles. Then switch hands and do the same thing with the other hand. Switch hands every 30 seconds or so. Breathe deep and close your eyes as you are doing this. If it does not work right away, keep at it, and try to meditate on a place in nature or the wilderness that you enjoy going to. Picture yourself being there and enjoying the sights, smells, and sunshine.Get into a zone and keep doing the acupressure! Simple, but effective!

.

How to reduce the amount of headaches you get!

Prevention- Now that you know how to cope with a headache once it hits you, here are some tips to prevent them.

1.Once a week, take a cold glass of water, pour an once of raw, undistilled vinegar into it, and drink it fast. Chase it with more water to keep the vinegar from settling on the inside of your throat. 2. Slowly decrease but do not eliminate your sugar and caffeine intake. 3. If they keep reoccurring, hypnosis is a good option. I tried it and had great results. 4.Take an herb named fever few as directed. 5. Start drinking more cold, filtered water every day! Try to drink no less than 6 glasses a day. This last tip is a big one!

NOTE-

*Be sure to see a neurologist to be certain that your headaches are not caused by a life threatening illness or condition, Please tell me below how it worked for you
